Kodaikanal Women’s Day Celebration

On 16.03.2024 MMSSS Kodaikanal Region celebrated the International Women’s Day along with 250 SHG members, with a Rally starting from Kurinji Meridian and reached the Regional Office at Ananthagiri and homage was paid to the girl child Aarthi, who was murdered due to Sexual Harassment. The program was started with the lighting of the Lamp and Ms. Thavamani the Regional Coordinator welcomed the Special Invitees and the gathering. Ms. Amali, Headmistress of St. Johns Primary School gave a brief speech about parenting and Ms. Amalorpavam, from Help Trust explained with a quote “We as Women obligation is to reinforce our thoughts just as a stone gets a shape after many strokes of the Chisel, we must strengthen ourselves and create a great achievement in the Society”. The members from Moonjikal demonstrated a drama about “Women are the Capital of Progress”. Followed by this Rev. Fr. G. Gabriel elaborated that “Women are the power that strengthens your vitality” and the program came to an end with the Vote of thanks by Ms. Amala the Tailoring Instructor.
